Step-by-step guidance
Start with the basic checks
A legitimate research panel should explain who operates it, how your data is used and how rewards work. Be wary of unexpected messages promising guaranteed income, requests for banking passwords, crypto payments to unlock earnings, or pressure to act immediately.
Use the provider’s official website or app rather than links from unsolicited messages. Check the privacy policy and terms before sharing detailed profile information. A normal survey may ask demographic questions, but it should not need your online-banking password.
Never pay to unlock a survey balance
A request to send money to release earnings is a major warning sign. Genuine fees or account-verification requirements should be documented in the provider’s own terms, not introduced by a stranger contacting you privately.
Keep evidence
Save confirmation emails, screenshots of stated rewards and withdrawal references. If something looks wrong, stop, contact the provider through its official support route and do not give remote access to your device.
