Our verdict

dscout is a research-project option rather than an instant-survey app. For the right participant, detailed missions can be engaging, but selection and commitment are substantial considerations. Compare a mission's requirements with your availability before treating its incentive as worthwhile.

What is dscout?

dscout focuses on deeper participant research, including missions that may involve diary entries, recorded responses or scheduled sessions. This changes the time commitment: a mission is often a project with application and delivery requirements, not a two-minute opinion poll. Screening determines whether a researcher wants your perspective, so applying is not guaranteed paid work. Review the complete brief before accepting, including any deadlines, recording requirements and compensation. It may be suitable if you enjoy describing experiences in detail and can follow a structured research schedule.
